Employment Demand – High Demand

Over the next few years, a fair amount of job openings are expected to arise due to continued investments in mental health initiatives. Among them, funding has been committed for developmental services systems to expand programs, provide more residential supports and improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities. Further, arising from the province’s long-term Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Strategy, more mental health support is being provided for children and youth in the province. There has also been a significant increase in investments in Indigenous communities, and more funding for the homelessness strategy generally in Ontario.
