Experience What It’s Like to Become a Pharmacy Assistant
Canadian College’s information session will also include hands-on exercises where you’ll get the chance to find out what it’s like to become a pharmacy assistant. Interested in getting a preview of what your future career could look like? Take part in some of these activities at our open house:
- An Rx filling exercise, where you’ll get the chance to count and sort medication on an actual pharmacy tray.
- A compounding station, where you can use real pharmacy equipment to mix an antibiotic anti-itch cream.
- A Dosette section, where you’ll learn how to make a drug card with medication.
These exercises are designed to give you a few examples of the day-to-day tasks of a pharmacy assistant, all in a fun and informative setting. We place a strong emphasis on providing a hands-on learning approach, and look forward to showing you just how beneficial it can be!
